What’s new#

• New MDM key disableDiagnostics lets administrators hide the “Diagnostics” section in Settings entirely

Fixed#

• The Preferences window could stay unopenable for an entire session — clicking “Preferences…” simply did nothing. This happened when macOS started the app in the background as a login item, or when window state had been restored from a previous run: in those cases macOS never created the hidden helper window the app relied on to open Preferences. The Preferences window is now created directly by the app and no longer depends on that mechanism, so it opens reliably regardless of how the app was started
• The automatically created Kerberos authentication profile now uses the display name configured via MDM (kerberosProfileDisplayName) instead of always being named “Standard Kerberos”
• Shares that failed to get a Kerberos profile assigned right after a fresh MDM rollout no longer stay stuck requiring manual profile assignment — the app now retries automatically once the profile becomes available
• Fixed a first-launch issue where, with a Kerberos realm already configured via MDM, two conflicting windows could appear at once (an empty “Add Profile” dialog together with the network credentials window); only the correct credentials window now appears
• The optional “Change Password…” menu item is now positioned directly above “Preferences…” instead of at the very top of the menu, so it doesn’t compete with the mount/unmount actions
• The password-change dialog no longer gets stuck showing a spinning indicator after the password change had already succeeded — it now closes automatically
